Introduction to Painting - Gouache
A beginner-friendly painting workshop in gouache, where you will learn the fundamentals of composition, value & colour and leave with a completed painting.

1 — Learn the basics
We'll begin with a short demonstration covering composition, colour and how to use gouache.
2 — Paint with guidance
Create your own still-life painting step by step, with plenty of individual help along the way.
3 — Take your painting home
Finish the session with your own completed artwork, ready to take home.
Meet Your Teacher
Hi! My name is Masha, I am a Kazakh-Swiss artist currently based in Geneva. I started my artistic journey in 2021 & since that time I have exhibited in galleries, organised solo shows and honed my creative skills. I spent three years at the Barcelona Academy of Art, graduating from the intensive drawing and painting program.
My goal is to provide a complete experience where both children and adults of all ages can learn and develop an understanding of the fundamentals of painting. The courses are designed to be accessible at any level and enable you to effectively apply colour theory, composition & structure to any artwork you desire to create, all while enjoying a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can connect with your creative self.

Not at all! The workshops are designed to be accessible to complete beginners, and you’ll be guided through the painting process step by step. More experienced painters are very welcome too.

No — all painting materials are provided. Just come along and wear something you’ll be comfortable in! (Aprons are provided to protect your clothes)

Workshops can be taught in English, French and Russian, depending on the group.

Plans change! If you need to cancel, you can receive a full refund up to 7 days before the workshop. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else.

In the unlikely event that a workshop needs to be cancelled or the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, you’ll be offered the choice of transferring your booking to another date or receiving a full refund.
